Uploading Episodes & Metadata

Learn the best practices for uploading new episodes and crafting your metadata for maximum impact.

1. The Upload Process
  • The process is the same as your first upload: navigate to your Dashboard and click 'Upload New Episode'.
  • You can drag-and-drop your file or select it from your computer. We support MP3, WAV, and FLAC formats.
  • You can start filling out the metadata details immediately while the file is uploading to save time.
2. Crafting a Powerful Title
  • Your title is the most important piece of metadata for discoverability.
  • **Be descriptive and specific:** Instead of 'Episode 5', use 'Ep. 5: Advanced SEO Strategies for 2025'.
  • **Include keywords:** Think about what a listener might search for to find your content and include those terms naturally.
  • **Keep it concise:** Most podcast apps will truncate long titles, so put the most important information first.
3. Writing Compelling Descriptions
  • Your description (or show notes) is where you can provide more detail and encourage listeners to tune in.
  • **Summarize the episode:** Briefly explain the main topics and what listeners will learn in the first few sentences.
  • **Use timestamps:** PodPulse automatically generates chapters, but you can highlight key moments with timestamps in your description.
  • **Include links:** Add links to your website, social media, guest information, or any resources mentioned in the episode.
4. Scheduling and Publishing
  • PodPulse does not publish your podcast directly to listening platforms. We are a post-production and analytics tool.
  • After our AI processing is complete, you will download the enhanced audio and generated assets (show notes, transcript, etc.).
  • You will then upload these final assets to your podcast hosting provider (e.g., Libsyn, Buzzsprout, Transistor) to publish your episode.
