Uploading Your First Episode

Let's get your first piece of content into PodPulse. This guide covers the upload and initial processing steps.

Step 1: Navigate to the Upload Page
  • From your main dashboard, click the 'Upload New Episode' button.
  • This will take you to our intuitive upload interface, designed for a seamless experience.
Step 2: Upload Your Audio File
  • Drag and drop your audio file directly onto the upload area, or click to select a file from your computer.
  • We support high-quality MP3, WAV, and FLAC formats.
  • For best results, we recommend using a lossless format like WAV or FLAC, but high-bitrate MP3s work great too.
Step 3: Add Episode Metadata
  • While your file uploads, you can fill in the essential details for your episode.
  • **Episode Title:** Create a compelling, descriptive title. (e.g., 'Episode 10: The Art of Storytelling').
  • **Episode Description:** Write a brief summary of the episode's content. This is a great place for keywords.
  • **Artwork:** Upload custom artwork for this specific episode, or your default podcast cover will be used.
Step 4: The AI Processing Magic
  • Once you submit your episode, our AI engine gets to work.
  • The process typically takes about 10-15% of your episode's duration (e.g., a 60-minute episode takes 6-9 minutes).
  • During this time, we are: transcribing the audio, identifying speakers, analyzing content for key topics and insights, and preparing your show notes.
  • You can monitor the progress from your dashboard and we'll notify you once it's complete.
